MOTIFV
Motifv, the musical moniker of Joseph Kechter, is a 26 year old musician and producer born and raised in the foothills of Northern Colorado. As he creates beautiful collages of gospel and soul with futuristic synths and experimental bass frequencies, Motifv displays a mastery of the art of sample-based electronic production. His distinct approach to production and captivating live sets have taken him on a breakthrough artistic journey, with a 2024 year packed with career milestones.
Motifv has maintained an almost analog mystique, which is influenced by his surroundings and also reflected in his visual offerings. His debut album, “The Path," was self released in 2019 to much acclaim and has garnered him a loyal following. As he continued to expand perspective and explore more genre-bending techniques, his sophomore album “Dilated Mind'' flowed through stereos in 2021. Kicking off 2024 with a bold leap in the Motifv introspective narrative, he released a limited edition LP with Philos Records - Where the Sun Sets and Behind the Moon, two captivating EP’s which form one extraordinary listening experience.
Continuing to navigate new horizons and express himself beyond words, you can always find him deep in the studio, constantly cooking up yet another immersive auditory experience for the future.
